Description
Comunilife Inc.is looking for aProgram Directorfor itsDHS Transitional Program in the Bronx.The Program Director is responsible for the administration of the Safe Haven Program. The overall job responsibilities include administrative direction for the operation of the congregate residential facility, ensuring optimal service delivery in compliance with regulatory and funding agencies, including supervision of clinical staff, maintaining adherence with budgetary constraints, overseeing the quality of care and developing all service sites as changes occur in the service delivery system.This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous benefits and paid time off package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement employer contributions after 2 years, tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
Essential Duties
Ensure that all staff are providing optimal care and carrying out the scope of assigned job descriptions.
Hire and supervise staff in the program in conjunction with Human Resources policies and the Human Resources President. Develop and maintain orientation procedures for staff in the program related to operational requirements.
Ensure that budgetary guidelines and fiscal integrity of programs are a maintained in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President and Chief Program Officer by monitoring expenditures’ assisting in budget modifications as needed as well as reviewing with the Assistant Director the budget requirements of the program.
Supervise preparation for regulatory audits and Assistant Director and on-site staff.
Maintain adherence with agency Quality Improvement Program reviewing reports of incidents as needed.
Prepare and coordinate reports to contract agencies and other private funding sources in a timely manner including corrective actions following audits.
Discuss programmatic and organizational issues by attending regular meetings with the Assistant Vice President and Senior Management team.
Maintain agency credibility by working with contract/grant managers of funding agencies, other residential service providers and related service agencies.
Identify changes and modifications that improve service delivery by reviewing with the Senior Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker and Senior Management team the structure of client service programs ensuring proper adherence to the mission of the program and the regulatory bodies.
Establish and maintain working relationship wit the local governmental agencies, local CBO’s that enhance Comunilife programs.
Attend Senior Staff meetings and assist in executing the goals and mission of the agency.
Identify and apply for grants that would increase the effectiveness of the programs and the level of services provided to the clients.
Attend trainings to gain optimal knowledge of system changes occurring within the service delivery system.
Establish and maintain communication and collaboration with all Comunilife programs.
Develop and exhibit best practices at conferences/workshops that highlight the innovative advances at Comunilife programs.
Establish formal linkage agreements with a broad based service providers based on the unique needs of each residential program.
Supervise Clinical Supervisor in all aspects of Human Resources procedures under the Direction of the Vice-President of HR.
Direct collaboration with the Facilities team in carrying out all building requirements’ training of Clinical Supervisor in the totality of building requirements as they impact on any auditing requirement and to ensure safety and well-being of residents.
Organize trainings pertinent to each residential facility to meet the requirements of different regulations in existence.
Supervise staffing plans, schedules and on-call procedures that are developed by the Assistant Directors to ensure proper 24-hour coverage.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirement(s)
MSW from an accredited school of Social Work or related degree. New York State Certification (CSW). At least 6 years of progressive experience in the administration of Mental Health Housing programs.
