CNB Contracting Corp. Construction Project Manager in Bronx, New York

JOB DUTIES: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation; Manage construction trade licenses in multiple jurisdictions(applications/renewals); Examine/complete/submit construction bid documents; Procure insurance policies/certificates/other documentation; Examine technical drawings and performmaterial takeoffs; Permit expediting: Municipal building/other trade permit application submission and procurement; Project scheduling & managing work crews; Hire/manage subcontractors as needed including drafting of subcontract agreements; Scheduling all permit inspections; Contract with consulting engineers to obtain requisite testing services & reporting as needed; Ordering required project building materials including determining and scheduling long lead items; Coordinate with municipalities/utilities to closeout projects and obtain certificates of occupancy/completion.EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business administration, construction, or related field.EXPERIENCE: 24 months experience as Construction project manager, foreman, superintendent, area manager or services manager.SKILLS: Technology Skills required: Accounting software —Quickbooks; Calendar and scheduling software-Microsoft Project; Cloud-based data access and sharing software-Microsoft Sharepoint; Computer aided design CAD software--AutoCAD; Database user interface and query software--Oracle and Microsoft Access; Document management software--Microsoft Office Suite; Electronic mail software--Microsoft Outlook; Graphics or photo imaging software--Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator; Internet browser software--Chrome; Office suite software; Presentationsoftware--Microsoft PowerPoint; Process mapping and design software--Microsoft Visio; Project management software--Oracle Primavera ; Spreadsheet software--Microsoft Excel; Website Creation--Wordpress; and Word processing software--Microsoft Word.Other required skills: Must be able to read blueprints and construction documents; Complex problem solving--Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions; Critical thinking and mathematics--Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems; Mathematics--Using mathematics to make deductions based on reading construction documents, and to solve problems; Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.TRAVEL: Daily travel from the worksite address to various unanticipated sites, including construction properties and offices to complete assigned duties, all within normal commuting distances.
