Naval Education and Training Command TRAINING TECHNICIAN in Broadway Complex, California

Summary You will serve as a Training Technician in the INFOWARTRACMD SAN DIEGO CA. Responsibilities You will prepare and review outgoing correspondence, messages and enlist evaluations to ensure timely reply/submissions. You will explain eligibility for various pay/personnel entitlements. You will assist with student check in briefs and indoctrination programs, submission of check in package, and review and submission of supporting documents to gain the student into the Navy Personnel Systems (NPS). You will process student check-ins and student diary entries in Corporate Enterprise Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS) to place, update, or remove students on medical, legal, or administrative hold preventing enrollment status. You will provide routing input to respective Commanding Officer/Officer in Charge on issues related to Navy pay, personnel, and travel within the command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated pay and personnel systems, such as Bureau of Naval Personnel System (BUPERS) Online (BOL), Navy Standard Integrated Personnel Systems (NSIPS), and Fleet Training management and Planning Systems (FLTMPS), to input and retrieve data; 2) Utilizing automated training systems, such as Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS) and Navy Training Reservation System (eNTRS) to input and retrieve data; 3) Compiling reports and producing charts and graphs, using computer software, such as Microsoft Office Suite; and 4) Providing information orally on processes and procedural matters to internal and external customers.
