We're hiring a Data QA Automation Engineer to join our Data Products team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector. This role would be perfect for someone who likes to decipher complicated data structures while innovating solutions to automate the testing approach.

What You Will Do:

• Validate the latest changes to data sets based on acceptance criteria from Product Owners and Development SMEs.

• Eager to learn new skills and grow professionally

• Ability to think outside the box, question conventional approaches, and innovate

• Log issues when software does not function as expected

• Review and evaluate existing manual test cases as candidates for automation, and automate them in a timely manner

• Create and modify automated test cases for software products, with guidance from more senior team members

• Review feature requirements and provide feedback to the team

• Complete well-defined tasks in a reasonable timeframe

• Seek out the information needed to understand the "why" of a particular task

• Write maintainable, efficient code for automated tests

• Works with team to resolve identified issues

• Learns quickly from mistakes

• Follows stated best practices for the team without excessive oversight

• Work as part of a cross-functional team(dev, QA, product, data science, SRE)

• Know when to ask for help when they are blocked

• Complete well-defined tasks in a high-quality manner.

• Able to work independently

• May be involved with interviewing other QA candidates

What You Should Have:

• Experience with testing RDBMS

• Solid SQL experience

• Familiar with Python experience

• Experience testing REST API

• Experience with AWS (s3) and/or other cloud service providers

• Experience with Agile methodologies

• Ability to investigate, debug, and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results

• Professionalism includes mature written and verbal communication and time management skills.

• Databricks experience is a plus

• Experience with Azure Data Lake is a plus
