About the team

The mission of SAP S/4HANA and the Public Cloud ERP Product Management team is to drive and grow SAPs core business as a market leader in cloud ERP. We are responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and target customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for engineering teams. We work together with our engineering, product marketing teams and other Product Management teams cross organization, as well as with our customers and partners on continuously improving our SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition product. Product Management is the authoritative voice of the legitimate challenges customers face, evangelizing an outcome-based product vision and roadmap that truly solves customer pain points by creating products that delight, yet serve the needs of SAP.

The SaaS foundation provides the fundamental services for the success of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition entire functional areas:

• Ensuring a consistent customer experience across all functional areas by delivering important enablers and necessary supplements

• Striving to cover the entire product with current focus is on the ABAP Core, and reuse services on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) get into focus as well

• Enabling IT user/Business user persona with supporting functionality

The Role

We are looking for a passionate candidate to join the SaaS foundation product management team. Ideally, you bring a track record working with multi-national cloud and state-of-the-art SaaS units and are used to working in a fast-paced and agile organization. You will need to drive your topics with a true SaaS mindset and setup, and quickly establish credibility and trust with key SAP leaders, product marketing and product management teams, engineering teams, customers, and your future peers.

Your future product management team is responsible for ensuring that SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition includes the necessary SaaS foundation and cloud qualities to create the best customer implementation experience, including but not limited to topics such as Central Business Configuration (CBC), customers transitioning to a three-system landscape, and accelerating implementation timelines through Parallel Project Line (PPL). The team is also in charge of managing product localization across multiple lines of business and driving the evolution of various extensibility options. As a result, experience in one or more of these areas is highly advantageous.

Central Business Configuration (CBC): Understanding of CBC and how it can be leveraged to provide basis for adopting best practices and offer flexibility to easily configure and adapt their system according to their business requirements. Experience in customer implementation projects is a plus.

Three-System Landscape (3SL): Managing the customers transition from a traditional Two-System Landscape 2SL to a Three-System Landscape 3SL and ensuring a smooth migration for customers and change management. Experience in system landscape transformation projects and knowledge of best practices in system architecture is beneficial.

Parallel Project Line (PPL) for Accelerated Implementations: Driving the adoption of PPL, ensuring that customers can benefit from accelerated implementations and ability to prioritize required features with higher impact on customers

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Product Management brings together people with a unique mix of cross-product skills and knowledge to shape the success of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition by designing and advancing new business processes and models for the digital age. We make product decisions, as well as drive, coordinate, and lead functional and foundational topics with a cloud mindset, adhering to cloud qualities. Within S/4HANA Public Cloud, the concepts, features and functions for the future customer landscape of the solution are a cornerstone of the overall customer experience. No matter how comprehensive a SaaS solution is built, there is always the need to offer customers best experience with the product.

We need to ensure that SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition includes the necessary SaaS foundation and cloud qualities to create the best customer implementation experience, including but not limited to topics such as Central Business Configuration (CBC), customers transitioning to a three-system landscape, and accelerating implementation timelines through Parallel Project Line (PPL).

Product Requirement Definition: Contribute to definition of product vision, contribute to definition of functional requirements, in alignment with company goals and customer needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, and other product managers to ensure successful product development and launch.

User-Centric Design: Contribute to gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, ensuring the creation of features that enhance user experience and satisfaction.

In other words: its all about delivering best implementation and operating experience for customers moving to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

You will collaborate closely with customers and partners on continuously improving the experience of our product and to ensure customer adoption and satisfaction. Furthermore, you will provide expert support to the field, customers, and partners in the area of CBC, PPL and system landscape and will work closely with SAP-internal stakeholders in Product Marketing and in the field organization. The position will provide you an excellent environment to continue your career in product management in a fast-growing market.

What you bring

• Bachelor or masters degree in computer science, information systems or a related field

• Job experience in software product management, product development or similar roles

• Experience with S/4HANA Cloud or another SaaS product is a plus

• Knowledge or experience in S/4HANA Cloud landscape, CBC, PPL is a plus

• Structured thinking and working, delivery focused with a positive can-do attitude

• Proven communication and presentation skills

• Team player who is able to work across boundaries with the ability to influence without formal authority

• Fluent communication skills in English is mandatory

Meet your team

Our mission is to grow SAPs core business in the Cloud ERP market. The S/4HANA Product Management team is responsible for driving the definition of the SAP S/4HANA strategy and managing the SAP S/4HANA product portfolio, as well as identifying market and customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for the engineering teams. We collaborate closely with our engineering and Product Marketing teams as well as with customers (incl. customer co-innovations) on continuously improving our S/4HANA product towards long term customer success.
