The role's main purpose will be to support in collating and verifying data from multiple sources, helping Global Logistics to enrich the Data Lake, utilizing a tech stack that includes SQL, Python, Databricks, Google, Power Automate and PowerBI.

Our responsibility is to provide reporting & analyses of freight and related costs to increase visibility of transportation spend data and support contract negotiation, leverage contract compliance and performance metrics for tactical planning and shipment execution, enable financial forecasting and reporting, and to help manage cash flow.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering, cleaning, and processing raw data, developing programs to automate data collection and processing.

• Create data models and queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various diverse sources using advanced SQL, Google Cloud database management expertise, advanced analytics techniques, and data governance best-practices.

• Develops and maintains tools to support advanced data analysss to generate key business insights and metrics.

• Designs and builds diverse, flexible, and advance visualization reporting and dashboard using PowerBI.

• Develop robust documentation and training materials for tools, processes, analyses, and automated reporting dashboards

• Build business presentations to show findings and communicate methodologies, data management tools, and generated insights to non-technical business leaders and cross-functional work partners

• Interacts with Cross-Functional teams to identify questions and issues for data engineering

• Evaluates and makes recommendations to evolve data collection mechanism for data capture to improve efficacy of analysis tools and consistent, reliable outputs

• Drives innovation by fostering open, high energy, collaborative environment; lead participation in innovation summit and expos

Qualifications:

• Master's degree

• 8-12 years experience

• Can synthesize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations

• Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area

• Working knowledge of how systems work together and functionality of systems upstream and downstream

• Microsoft Excel - advanced skills

• Can present data in a visually compelling format to help business stakeholders understand the issues, possibilities and recommendations

• Microsoft PowerPoint - advanced skills

• Presentation skills advanced required. Some formal training in public speaking/presentation skills preferred. Experience presenting to Director and above audiences
