We are looking for aSenior Engineerwith a strong background inElectromagnetics Engineeringto help shape the future of flight. You will be responsible for electromagnetics engineering from requirements elucidation, development, specification, test definition, integration and certification. We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented individuals with the skills and passion to become future leaders in what they do.
The Senior Engineer shall draw on their diverse engineering background and product lifecycle awareness to progress a variety of research activity in the TRL1-6 range. They must have sound experience in leading technical work, including budgeting, schedule and risk management. They shall be capable of achieving through others internally and externally, and will be committed to development of their own skills and professional network. Their good communication skills shall enable them to confidently engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be an integral member of a team that is embarking on a significant and challenging technology development project; this five year project will be a major steppingstone towards achieving greener aviation thus helping protect our environment for future generations.
Shall be responsible to define and develop electromagnetic requirements, and ensure their embodiment according ARP4754 reporting technically to the Principal Electrical Network Engineer.
Shall be responsible for the development of electromagnetic aspects of the systems to ARP5413 to 5416, ARP5583, MIL-STD-464, DO254, DO-297 and others as appropriate.
Shall be responsible for the development of requirements at all levels from system, item, components, down to hardware level.
Shall be responsible to undertake the simulation and analysis at aircraft and system level including LIE, HIRF and crosstalk effects.
Shall define validation plans and ensure compliance through analysis, simulation and/or test (e.g. DO-160 and MIL-STD-461) as appropriate.
Manage technical engagement with the supply chain.
Work with the systems architects, systems engineers, mechanical systems engineers and system simulation engineers to ensure that the electromagnetic requirements are achieved.
Support certification thought the identification, elicitation and background of requirements as well as defining the acceptable means of compliance. Supporting certification engineering in discussions with the certification authorities.
Shall anticipate and manage transversal technical and business issues, arbitrate between solutions considering all aspects: sustainability, reusability, optimisation, opportunity, schedule, quality, cost, risks, safety and performance.
Generate technical reports and presentations, with the ability to present information in a clear and organized manner.
Develop specification documents and procedures for new products before launched into manufacturing. Ensure their specification and ensure the production, compliance and test of the components, items and systems. Develop validation test methods and protocols. Use Aerospace best practices. Participate in in-depth analysis of test data.
Provide general technical feedback on the design and development of mechanical and electrical sub-systems.
Manage and develop requirements and specifications both internally and as part of appropriate international standard working groups.
