Your role will be to develop and maintain the Medtronic Embolization, Deep Venous and Peripheral Vascular (PV) portfolio with existing and new customers. In line with the Sales Managers guidelines in the defined sales territory you will strive to meet and exceed financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. As a seasoned sales professional you will also work with multiple, often complex customers and stakeholders to develop champions for Medtronic’s new technology and identify opportunities for future business growth. The role involves communicating with external suppliers, customers and / or vendors, involving advanced negotiation and / or presentations to manage relationships and close sales.

A Day in the Life

• Analyze the marketplace, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy, and present the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation. Little supervision required

• Support the local training and education of the teams when new solutions are implemented

• Monitor the account to assess any leakage and take corrective actions

• Perform all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy and Medtronic BCS) from product introduction and presentation to complex contract negotiation

• Monitor and secure that all accounts receive targeting and coverage according to sales managers guidelines

• Further develop existing accounts by expanding into new therapies and develop entirely new accounts

• Support the execution of the national marketing plan and maximise programmes/tactics generated from SHQ

• Maintain all necessary excellent professional selling skills, in accordance with sales manager guidelines and Medtronic personal development program

• Plan and prepare accurate sales forecasts by account, product and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments, monitor ROI of time and budgets

• Carry out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner, (i.e., boot stock reports, stock movement etc.). Provide minimum, but regular activity report to sales manager

Must Haves

• University degree

• Thorough selling skills education and knowledge

• Able to demonstrate training and mentoring skills in both internal and external positions

• Experience and proven ability to run national level education programmes

• Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process with customers (economic buyer, reimbursement, ICBs, NHS Supply Chain)

• Strong selling experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry with consistent over-plan performance

• Excellent communicational skills, positive attitude

• Fluent English, both verbally and written

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge and customer networks in the Vascular and IR business
