Job Description

Responsible for developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems for the Company and its supply chain. This role involves auditing to ensure compliance, maintaining the Quality Management System in line with industry standards like ISO 9001, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. The Quality Manager will lead the team to achieve quality management system targets and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Management Systems strategy and demonstrate progress against key milestones.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO 9001).

  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, reviewing and communicating their impact on Quality Management Systems.

  • Manage external registration requirements, liaising with external bodies on all matters relating to registration.

  • Implement relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System.

  • Ensure all in-house systems and procedures are updated to meet external certification bodies' requirements.

  • Ensure systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits.

  • Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.

  • Train personnel in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures.

  • Conduct regular internal and process audits of the QMS.

  • Ensure corrective actions are undertaken to address nonconformities found.

  • Verify closure of nonconformities with Certification Bodies.

  • Hold regular audit performance meetings with relevant stakeholders.

  • Manage the audit nonconformity database and provide detailed analysis of nonconformities.

  • Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.

  • Report on the achievement of targets and identify required actions.

  • Promote high standards through personal example and ensure team members understand expected standards and behaviors.

  • Communicate with personnel at all levels regarding Quality matters.

  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.

  • Contribute to creating a positive team atmosphere.

  • Anticipate and overcome obstacles, making insightful plans and solutions.

  • Embrace personal challenges and take ownership of team cohesion and development.

  • Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Policy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree in related field, or five years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Hands-on experience with the ability to understand practical issues with a part/project.

  • Experience with internal auditing.

  • Openness to 20% travel to other facilities.

  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.

  • Detailed understanding of ISO 9001.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
