Ability Beyond Direct Care - Behavioral & Young Adult Programs in Bristol, Connecticut

You can be a life coach and a mentor, and support their personal growth so they can meet their individualized goals!

Locations: Several programs are available across the Greater Bristol area (New Britain, Plainville, Bristol, Wolcott, and Southington)Hours: Day and evening. One weekend day availability is a must.Pay Rate: $17.75-$18.50/hour

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to adults with diverse mental health and behavioral needs.

  • Assist with daily living activities, including assistance with taking meds, cooking, cleaning, volunteering, socializing and being creative!

  • Facilitate appointments, ensuring the utmost attention to each individual’s needs.

  • Inspire community engagement through activities like work, volunteering, and events (e.g., Special Olympics).

  • Foster positive behavior, socialization skills, and goal achievement.

  • Maintain thorough documentation for individualized plans and progress.

  • Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, and nutritionists to deliver individualized care.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver’s license is required.

  • Willingness to learn—no experience needed!
