Katmai Technical Writer in BRILLIANT, Ohio
SUMMARY
Provides consultative services, creates, and publishes technical documentations and manuals. Collects and interprets technical data or information and coordinates layouts for publication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Writes and/or edits technical documents, including business proposals, reports, user manuals, briefings and presentations, functional descriptions, system specifications, guidelines, special reports, and other project deliverables to meet contract requirements.
Develops outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and project management, ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations.
Researches and gathers technical and background information for inclusion in project documentation and deliverables.
Consults relevant information sources, including library resources, technical and financial documents, and client and project personnel, to obtain background information, and verify pertinent guidelines and regulations governing project deliverables.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four (4) years of related experience required.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation.
Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity in accordance with requirements.
Ability to work in a collaborative, diverse, flexible, deadline driven, and government environment.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
Ability to prioritize tasks successfully.

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Compensation & Benefits Package:
Pay: $65,250.00 - $87,000/annually
