If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Transportation Engineer, EIT opportunity. The position is based in Brighton, MI.

At Tetra Tech, we are searching for a junior-level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation team full-time. As an EIT, you will be involved with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths and traffic control systems, and will work with our team of recognized industry experts.

Your Role: Design of highway, arterial and local roadway improvements Performs a variety of routine engineering tasks, including development of roadway, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal, and maintenance of traffic plans Perform roadway 3D Modeling Prepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimates Assist in the preparation of engineering documents, plans, and specifications Assist in the development of project schedules Perform site visits to support the design process Prepare alternative evaluation studies and similar reports

Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering (transportation focus is a plus) 1-2 years of experience is a plus Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification with the intent to obtain Professional Engineer Certification, preferred Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is preferred Proficient with Microsoft software, to include Word and Excel
