Trinity Health Registered Nurse RN - Emergency Room - Weekend Cadre - Days in Brighton, Michigan

24 hours per week, paid 28, on the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift.

A Weekend Alternative (Cadre) position. Scheduled 24 hours per week in the Emergency Department in Brighton Michigan. To be eligible for Weekend Alternative a colleague must work a minimum of forty-eight (48) out of fifty-two (52) weekends per year. The four weekends not worked must be requested in advance and have approval of the department. They must be scheduled a minimum of two eligible weekend shifts per weekend, with a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours worked per weekend. Colleagues will receive an additional 4 hours of compensation per weekend.

Trinity Health Brighton's Emergency Department (https://www.trinityhealthmichigan.org/location/trinity-health-emergency-brighton) (ED) is available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to care for minor illnesses/injuries, as well as major life-threatening, traumatic, medical and surgical problems. Practice in a department that is staffed with board-certified or board-eligible emergency physicians. The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current Michigan Nursing License

Education:

  • Graduation from accredited nursing program: Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire.
