Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

Perform modifications and heavy maintenance on King Airs and DHC8 aircrafts.

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Shoot and buck rivets to specifications

  • Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness

  • Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices

  • Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure

  • Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials

  • Perform repairs to the aircraft along with determine which repairs can or cannot be made

  • Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions

Hard Skills

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bridgewater, Virginia.

Work Environment

Individuals will be working in a hangar environment and will be in a MRO type environment. Our Client has several heavy mx and modification. Individuals will work off the production schedule to include work cards where they will be required to complete work in a designated time frame.

Typical schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with a 1hr lunch break, open to overtime. Everyone at Our Client is united by the commonality of the Company's values and goals.
