Bausch Health Payroll Manager in Bridgewater, New Jersey

We are looking for a Payroll Manager with multi-state payroll experience. The Payroll Manager will manage direct reports, will be responsible for two US bi-weekly payrolls, stock runs and off-cycle requests. The successful candidate will need to be detail oriented to catch issues before payroll is released and determine root cause, lead projects with the ability to work across functions and the desire to help others.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate multi-state bi-weekly payroll processing with outsourced vendor

  • Payroll for over 1000 employees

  • Payroll Tax reconciliation and payments to appropriate jurisdictions

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to payroll compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley reporting, federal, state and local payroll regulations

  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to maintain accurate records and reporting, and to audit internal controls

  • Manage payroll team and develop employees including measuring performance against individual and team goals

  • Root cause analysis to correct/prevent errors

  • Oversight and review of disbursements related to the employee stock purchase plan, bonus, and stock options

  • Respond to employee payroll cases and provide education on payroll self-service

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Accounting, Finance area of study preferred

  • Minumun 6 years payroll experience in a mid-sized company required

  • Minimum 2 years managing people required

  • Experience with multistate payroll – CA and WA preferred

  • Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards

  • Success Factors and UKG business knowledge a plus

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to deliver on-time and accurately

  • Mature and collaborative approach to communication and relationship building with internal and external partners.

  • Certified Payroll Professional a plus

  • 3-days in office required
