DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will engage in technical tasks for construction projects under a training framework to ensure compliance with codes, plans, standards, and specifications. Participate in a year-long training program with various responsibilities, including material inspections and adherence to contract requirements on transportation projects. Maintain detailed checklists, conduct research on contract items, and assist in inspecting all phases of construction work following guidelines outlined in the Project Office Manual. Collaborate with contractors and inspection personnel to verify work quality and generate project documentation using Department-provided software for documentation completion and daily report entry into ECMS.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch Vendor-controlled position. Work hours may vary to meet operational needs. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, as-hoc. at the discretion of the supervisor.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
