First Craven Sanitary District Assistant Water Treatment/Distribution Operator in Bridgeton, North Carolina
Assistant Water Treatment/Distribution Operator This individual is to assist with the operation and maintenance of the water treatment and distribution system that serves the Town of Bridgeton and most of Township #2 of Craven County. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Routine daily operation and maintenance of system, buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment;
- Reading meters as directed;
- Repairing leaks;
- Performing customer services; and
- Installation of water services.
Qualifications:
- This individual must be able to perform manual and technical tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the water system, such as digging with a shovel, reading meters manually, heavy lifting, and climbing ladders.
- This individual must work well with the public, have strong communication skills, and able to work without close supervision.
- High School diploma or GED is required at a minimum.
- Must have valid NC Driver's license with clean driving record.
- Must be good at math and able to do simple calculations.
- Experience in this field is preferred, but not necessary.
- This individual must have, or be able to obtain, NC water treatment/distribution certification.
