VMware Senior Product Line Manager, SD-WAN / SASE - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Bridgeport, Connecticut


  • Understand Federal customer, partner, and regulatory requirements

  • Identify and evaluate compliance requirements, e.g. FedRAMP, Common Criteria, FIPS, STIG, DoDIN APL, etc., for new and existing SASE products or features.

  • Identify, document, and drive product features around compliance requirements to enable efficient roadmap execution

  • Articulate metrics, requirements, goals, and features to all relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of assigned compliance initiative

  • Advise stakeholders on detailed compliance requirements and remediation efforts

  • Stay on top of regulatory developments, industry trends and internal initiatives to drive better decisions

  • Work closely with internal and external partners to understand what we need to build and prioritize based on business needs

  • Manage external compliance contractor relationships to align priorities and jointly plan compliance execution roadmaps

  • Present documentation, metrics, and dashboards to leadership to showcase the value proposition and progress against our goals

  • Become a trusted partner by cross-functionally influencing leadership, engineering, product, and business teams

  • Build a deep understanding of how stakeholder teams work, their needs and how compliance can be operationalized into their processes

  • Provide training and assistance to stakeholders for use of compliance evidence gathering tools

  • Work with remote teams and across time zones


  • Ten or more years of experience in telecommunications, cable or a directly related industry

  • Five or more years with Federal security and compliance experience, or related field

  • Bachelor's Degree (cybersecurity, or related degree preferred)

  • Knowledge and exposure to cybersecurity standards, laws or policies, such as FedRAMP, Common Criteria, FIPS 140-2, CJIS, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, PCI, GDPR, etc.

  • Understanding of SaaS development and DevOps concepts

  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

  • Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to drive initiatives at multiple levels

  • Experience writing formal, informal, and technical documents

  • Experience and technical knowledge of IaaS (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, Kubernetes, and related cloud technologies preferred

  • Basic technical skills including an understanding of APIs and data analytics preferred
