Job Title: IT/Network Support Engineer (Levels I, II, & III)

Position Overview: The IT/Network Support Engineer at Levels I, II, & III will be responsible for configuring, installing, analyzing, testing, troubleshooting & evaluating various network devices, systems, & services. This includes local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), servers, workstations, routers & switches. The role involves monitoring network performance, ensuring network availability & reliability, & maintaining comprehensive network documentation & maps.
Key Responsibilities:
- *Installation & Configuration: * Set up & support workstations, servers (both physical & virtual) & network equipment including firewalls, routers, & switches. Design & implement customer services in our network.
- *End User Support: * Provide technical assistance to users facing hardware & software issues.
- *Maintenance: * Keep servers & network equipment updated with the latest firmware & software releases, implement patches & schedule upgrades.
- *Network Health: * Focus on ensuring the high availability & performance of network solutions to meet business & customer requirements.
- *Communication: * Effectively communicate technical information within the Network Engineering team.
- *Collaboration: * Work collaboratively on team projects & troubleshoot network or IT-related issues.
- Availability: Ensure the availability of supported technologies & potentially participate in on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications: *Applicant must be local to Brewster, WA area or willing to relocate to a rural environment. On-site 5 days a week required. *
Level I:
- Preferred: Associate's degree in computer science or related field.
- Preferred: Three years of related experience.
- Required: Strong verbal & written communication skills, analytical & problem-solving abilities.
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Level II:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (experience can substitute for the degree).
- Required: Five or more years of related experience.
- Preferred: Understanding of network concepts, LAN/WAN topologies, VLANs, Switch Trunking, network subnetting, OSPF, ISIS, Access Lists, 802.1x, & Spanning Tree.
- Preferred: Knowledge of DNS/DHCP configurations.
Level III:
- Preferred: Strong understanding of advanced network concepts including WAN topologies, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, Virtual Port Channels (VPC), BGP, & QoS policies.
Required: Seven or more years of related experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
*Hourly Wage Range: * $30.00 - $54.00 per hour, depending on experience.
