Residential Coordinator JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors Degree Required

Preferred Experience: 3 or more years of relevant experience

License: Current New York State Driver’s License and Agency Insurability.

Job Description Summary

Assumes responsibility for the creation, coordination, supervision and evaluation of the operation of the community residential program, including the disciplinary program team comprised of clinicians, supervisory staff, direct care staff and ancillary staff. directly supervises House Managers and QMRP (Social Worker)

Physical Expectations

This position requires that employees are able to stand and or sit for prolonged periods of time. The employees must also be able to lift and transport consumers and perform all physical aspects of the job.

Reporting Responsibilities

This position reports to the Director of Residential Services and supervises Assistant House Managers, Supervisors, Assistant Supervisor and Direct Care Workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

  • Can effectively recommend promotions and transfers within the residential program.

  • Responsible for disciplining staff, which includes giving verbal and written guidance.

  • Can assign work for all subordinate residential or direct car staff, which includes employees that are shared between different departments within the agency.

  • Has the ability to suspend and or dismiss staff under their supervision.

  • Can call in replacement staff and holdover current staff.

  • Responsible for interviewing, evaluating, supervising and disciplining staff.

  • Ensures that all services provided to all consumers in the residential program are being coordinated efficiently and effectively and in a safe manner.

  • Ensures that staffing levels are maintained, training is conducted and scheduling is maintained within the residence.

  • Coordinates performance improvement activities.

  • Monitors consumer / employee relations – demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all family members, visitors and agency personnel as defined in the philosophy of the Agency.

  • Reviews the supervision of record management for consumers

  • Coordinates training and in-services on safety and facility procedures.

  • Responsible for investigating and preparing for presentation of client and employee incidents, accidents and grievances.

  • Responsible for reporting of incidents of abuse or neglect of any type.
