Promote a physically safe and emotionally healthy environment while supervising students during evening residential activities and overnight sleeping hours. Latham provides a paid two-week Orientation program for all new employees upon hire. High School Diploma or GED required. Candidates with a high school diploma/ GED and are new to the human services field are encouraged to apply! He or she must have the ability to handle children/ individuals in crisis safely, with compassion. A valid driver\'s license with an acceptable driving record is required. Schedule: Sunday and Tuesday 7p-9a (sleep), Saturday 9p-9a (AWAKE) Compensation: \$18.82 per hour ***Weekend differential \$3.00 per hour for hours worked between 7am Saturday through 6:59am Monday! *** Sleep Shift Key Responsibilities: Communicate about issues which impact students and program operation to team and supervisor. Assist in the preparation of IEPs, annual and semi-annual assessments. Maintain logs and record behavioral progress. Maintain clear visuals for monitoring cameras. Provide informal counseling with students. Maintain a clean environment for students. Track clothing including seasonal rotation. Constructively participate in team meetings and supervision. Implement laundry schedules, chore charts, shower schedules. Maintain confidential student information. Provide therapeutic crisis intervention, as needed. All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee\'s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies. Awake shift Key Responsibilities: Be awake during overnight shift in order to monitor students during sleeping hours and ensure a safe environment for them. Communicate student information with other suites in a timely way. Maintain awake overnight logs. Record behavioral progress. Communicate issues impacting students and the program operation in the log and to supervisors in a timely way. Provide informal counseling with students. Maintain confidential student information. Provide therapeutic crisis intervention, as needed. All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee?s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
