Job Description

We are looking for a driven merchandising strategy and analytics leader to join our growing digital team. Our mission is to leverage data and analytics for impactful decision-making and business optimization, you will play a crucial role in building the team, setting the operating model and technology to deliver the insights needed to continue growing the digital business. You will drive the analytics program, set the vision, drive business priorities, and co-develop the roadmap with stakeholders across Digital business leaders, Product, Data, and Design teams to support their decision support needs, build best in class tools that enhance the analytics teams capabilities, driving innovation.

 Responsible for analytical analysis, development of strategic options, testing, and ultimately influencing Digital and business leadership on important strategic decisions.

 Responsible for the development of business intelligence reporting and analytics to understand business performance, uncover root causes, and provide visibility to leadership to drive results.

 Responsible for the development of processes, reporting, and management of team members to build new and optimize existing programs/site capabilities to drive revenue and reduce costs.

 Works with business partners and other stakeholders to prioritize information/reporting needs and prioritizes activities for direct reports.

 Drive the adoption of data science-driven mechanisms and AI/ML models to continuously evaluate and improve catalog data quality.

 Improve operational and cost efficiencies by building process and tools that can scale, using technology.

 Define, develop and maintain metrics that will help us measure and understand business performance and enable data driven decision making

Skills and Requirements

Must haves:

- 7 years experience on analytics teams within the retail industry

- 3-4 years Management / Supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership experience

o Ability to be hands on technical and mentor/teach team members

- Established experience in business analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, statistical programming languages

o Ability to build their own analysis, create dashboards, models, and working in the data

- Experience working in R, Python scripts (Pandas, Seaborn, etc.) - 7/10 hands on technical

- Advanced knowledge of SQL - 9/10

- Experience with data visualization, optimization, ML, big data

o Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Experience manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets. Standout on a resume:

** Strategy consulting background or retail background

** Online courses on AI / Education or masters in analytics or data science or similar field null
