Job Summary and Qualifications

The Associate EHR Analyst is focused on ITG EHR Systems for HCA Physician Services. Creation and product roadmaps and testing that support the needs of the organization. Works closely with EHR vendors to drive the achievement of defined solutions that support the timelines required to meet customer expectations. Spends considerable time understanding vendor options as well as practice needs through internal HCA sources to match meet or exceed customer expectations. Looks to other progressive healthcare organizations to identify new practices that will help our solutions grow to meet unknown/unplanned needs. Works closely with the Senior Product Analyst to provide core solutions that are integrated and support improved content, workflow analysis, optimization planning, training, and live support of clinical users on the EHR.

General Role and Responsibilities

  • Project Management skills that drive performance to a completed state understood by all

  • Work to effectively achieve product goals that can be supported by HCA Physician Services, ITG, CPSP and Parallon

  • Participates and supports implementations and go-live activities at assigned sites, including support of new practices, and training go-live support for new providers joining existing EMR sites.

  • Supports product improvement and ongoing use of standard and customizable content, clinical integration, and optimization activities.

  • Conducts some problem analysis by taking on hard-to-understand issues and make them clear and attainable through the eyes of other resources

  • Works with enterprise subject matter experts and integrated support team resources in managing resolution of ambulatory EMR application issues and requests

  • Participates in root cause analysis as trends in issues are identified.

  • Works with E.H.R. Specialist team to provide support for software functionality, content and defect resolution updates.

  • Operational Standards and Support

  • Troubleshoots basic wireless/network/computer issues and works with integrated support team for resolution.

  • Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance.

  • Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement.

  • Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • College Degree

  • 0-1 year of experience with EHR/EMR technology or Physician Practice Workflow.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Demonstrated customer service focus

  • Demonstrated computer skills, including ability to perform basic wireless/network/computer issues.

Preferred:

  • Product Development with focus on advanced system growth

  • Experience with Healthcare IT (Hospital and/or Practice Systems)

  • Vendor negotiations and relationship management
