Outreach Development Corporation Clinical Adolescent Orientation Counselor in Brentwood, New York

Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of FT Orientation Counselor. The Orientation Counselor is an integral part of OH II. The hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 7a-3p.

Position Summary: FT Clinical Orientation Counselor

Job Scope:

Provide individual and group counseling sessions as assigned.

Orients and assists new residents with adapting to program rules and structure.

Complete and accurately document clinical care, i.e. treatment plans, progress notes, and individual notes.

Supervise daily activities and exercises with residents.

Supervise clients in self-medication.

Communicate all pertinent information incidents, emergencies, via SAC book/house manager.

Crisis interventions and follow thru with documentation incident, accident and/or elopement reprrts.

Participate in special family events throughout the year.

Initial and ongoing screening of residents in accordance with rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

CASAC-T

Must be flexible to work Holidays.

Needs valid NYS Driver's License.

Possess strong communication skills.

NQHP: With relevant experience in Adolescent residential treatment, group and individual counseling, documentation of electronic records, 1 year of experience working with clients with substance and co-occurring disorders.
