The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for the day to day operations of payroll, employee file maintenance and Talent Center data entry. The HR Administrator is responsible to coordinate basic HR activities. This role requires problem solving skills and an ability to organize and work independently. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plant and Environmental Safety Take personal ownership to work safely and hold other team members to the same high standards of safety Notify supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss or on- the -job injury when it occurs no matter how insignificant it may seem. Participates in the safety, quality, autonomous maintenance, TPM and housekeeping programs as established within the plant; including but not limited to Focused Improvement Events, Safety Committee, Training, etc. Performs job tasks to reduce environmental impact and adheres to the environmental regulations and recycling procedures for waste disposal. Complies with all plant rules and safety regulations. Performs cleanup duties at workstations and/or equipment/machinery. Communicates safety concerns and/or equipment problems/abnormalities to appropriate personnel, maintaining strong communication with the appropriate line section operators to ensure immediate action is taken for product out of spec. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Payroll and Attendance Tracking via Kronos System Payroll Coordinator duties Kronos payroll administrator Process expert in the use of, upgrading of, monitoring of the Kronos system for time and attendance management Responsible for maintenance of time clocks at the Plant Respond to payroll issues from employees Train Kronos users on any upgrades, system changes or advancements to ensure their ability to properly use the system for administration of payroll, time and attendance Run payroll, OT reports and annual audits   Benefits Forward Benefit Life Change Events information to corporate Compensation and Benefits Respond to routine benefits questions Upon request provides FMLA/STD paperwork to employees Coordinate paperwork for personal and work-related injuries/illness with the disability case manager Assist new employees with their initial enrollment in benefits Staffing Arrange plant tours and interviews Coordinate onboarding process. Employee Files Ensure that employee information is filed in compliance with company and governmental regulations in a timely manner Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information Adheres to the Owens Corning retention policy and procedures HR Skills/Behaviors Have a high level of professionalism with other employees - this will assist in maintaining a balance in the role - being the owner of sensitive and personal information of the team - a line has to be maintained on personal and professional relations, meeting areas, and interactions A high sense of personal ownership and pride on all HR Administers Tasks every week High problem-solving skills that lead to a natural curiousness to learn, develop and maintain the systems of the HR Role. Becoming the onsite resource and expert for the team Able to think under pressure, make quick decisions, and act as a decision maker Ability to work well independently or in a team Attention to detail EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Must be able to learn the responsibilities of this position Clerical or office experience. Experience handling sensitive data. TPM Participates in plant TPM initiatives - completing activities associated with TPM tasks (adheres to CILT standard, 5S).
