Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist (Materials and Processes) in the Welding & NDT Division-Code 138, NDT Branch- Code 138.4 of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will direct complex projects requiring formal and informal liaison with engineers, representatives of other Naval Facilities, Reactor Plant Prime Contractor Representatives, vendors, supervisors, and managers in other Shipyard departments. You will act as overall process owner for Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and perform a continuous performance assessment of NDT process owners in other engineering codes, inspection codes, and production shops. You will act as an authority for Shipyard processes associated with certification of nondestructive test and metallographic inspection personnel. You will be familiar with Shipyard capabilities and facilities for conducting welding and nondestructive testing. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing quality assurance surveillance and assessments by developing and implementing quality assurance nondestructive test projects or programs in support of the overhaul, conversion, or repair of ships or submarines.
