Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Brea, California
Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Plastics Manufacturing industry located in Brea, California. This role will be primarily on-site and will involve overseeing all accounting functions within our company.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Manage and supervise the accounting department functions to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
• Develop budgets and financial forecasts, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
• Advise on proper handling of financial resources and procedures; provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
• Ensure full transparency of the financial performance of the company
• Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define organizational financial strategy
• Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation. Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures.
• Ability to handle Billing Functions.
• Expertise in Month End Close and Year End Closings.
• Experience in Budget Management.
• Proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A).
• Ability to manage and report on Profit and Loss accounts.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
