Amazon Finance Operations is looking for an experienced AR Collections Specialist responsible for proactively managing the collection of outstanding payments from the company's top vendor accounts in Europe. This seasoned professional will work closely with business teams and vendor contacts to influence higher-level stakeholders, maintain comprehensive operating procedures in the "Vendor Handbook," and contribute to management business reviews.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure as part of a global team.

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2,250 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

Key job responsibilities

• Reduce past due balances and consistently meet monthly collection goals for the top vendor accounts in Europe

• Drive down correction rates through effective reconciliation of invoices, credit notes, and debit notes

• Maintain and continuously improve the "Vendor Handbook" of operating procedures

• Collaborate with business teams and vendor points of contact to identify and resolve payment blockers

• Influence higher-level stakeholders to facilitate timely collections

• Demonstrate strong prioritization and workload management skills in a fast-paced environment

• Provide regular reporting and analysis on collection performance

• Execute regular data reconciliations to highlight efficiency opportunities

• Support global FinOps teams with small-scale project delivery

• Conduct regular remote and occasional in-person meetings with vendor points of contact

• Contribute to management business reviews with narrative paragraphs

• Engage in daily communication with vendor points of contact to identify and drive resolution of blockers

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable collections or a related field

• Fluent English

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders

• Demonstrated experience in reconciling complex financial documents and driving process improvements

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results not always dependent on one's own actions

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in either German, French, or Spanish in addition to English

• Proven track record of meeting collection targets, reducing past due balances, and delivering small-scale projects

• Proficient in using MS Excel and reporting tools

• Strong time management skills
