Kelly Services Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Brantford, Ontario

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor for a permanent position with our client, a leading company in the retail packaging industry located in Brantford, ON.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving operations across various brands, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This includes coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities in the warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments, managing staff in these areas.

  • Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehousing, distribution, shipping, and receiving.

  • Manage outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, customs paperwork (for international shipments), and transportation.

  • Oversee incoming shipments, verifying quantities, quality, and any damages.

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of received goods.

  • Supervise truck loading and unloading, ensuring safety and efficiency.

  • Maintain a comprehensive daily shipping schedule by managing pick-ticket schedules in Sage X3.

  • Optimize warehouse layout and organization to improve workflow efficiency.

  • Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and supplies in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and inventory management.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems or other relevant shipping software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects when required.

  • Forklift certification is an asset.
