JOB ORDER POSTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE FILING OF A CONCURRENT APPLICATION FOR H2B WORKERS. Cook. Chateau On The Lake Resort, Spa and Convention Center (Branson, MO). 18 openings. Temporary, full-time job from 04/01/2025 to 01/02/2026. Min. 35 hours per week. Shift: Varies between 6:30am to 11:00pm, Sunday through Saturday. Minimum 5 rotating days including weekends and holidays.Duties: Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Recreate menu items for restaurant and banquets. Develop consistency in cooking and presentation. Minimize food waste through cross utilization. Setup workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat). Use standard practices in kitchen sanitization. Store all food and other items properly.Requirements: 3 months experience in position; regular bending, stooping and stretching. Ability to be on feet for long periods of time. Ability to lift max weight of 50 lbs. Pre-employment background check will be carried out equally between the US workers and the H2B workers. Random drug screening upon reasonable suspicion or actions of impairment while at work. On the job training provided.Rate of Pay: $15.62 per hour. O/T is possible at time and a half. Overtime is possible at $23.43 per hour. One free meal when working scheduled shift.A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. All deductions from the workers paycheck required by law will be made. Employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Receipt must be provided for reimbursement. Air transportation to the place of employment will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker (air travel paid upfront); Ground expenses and subsistence costs will be reimbursed to the worker during the 1st work week. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a max. of $59.00 per day with receipts. If the worker does not complete at least half of the employment period the worker is expected to refund the employer. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer.Shared, subsidized housing provided. Housing is optional, if elected, cost at approx. $100 per week to be paid directly to landlord. $75.00 security deposit required payable directly to the landlord. Optional daily transport between company housing and worksite provided. If elected, cost of transport at approx. $20 per week will be deducted bi-weekly from payroll.
