We are looking to add a Machine Operator to our team in Brampton, Ontario!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Temp Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, preparing epoxy dispenser reservoirs, understanding moulding procedures, examining work for defects, operating sandblasting and paint equipment, sub-assembling electro-mechanical parts, and disposing of hazardous chemicals properly. The successful candidate will maintain a safe and clean work environment, conserve resources, train others, inspect work for defects, and document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery (moulding press) using hand tools as necessary.

• Prepare and fill epoxy dispenser reservoirs with hardener and resin as required.

• Understand moulding procedures and production expectations.

• Examine work for cosmetic and dimensional defects.

• Operate and run epoxy sandblasting machine and paint equipment.

• Sub-assemble electro-mechanical parts.

• Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

• Contribute to team effort by training others in the performance of machine operator tasks as needed.

• Inspect all work for defects prior to passing it on to the next operation.

• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Essential Skills

• 1 Year Machine Operating Experience

• Ability to lift 50 Pounds

• Experience using hand and power tools

Work Environment

You will be working in a medium-sized manufacturing company with 12 machine operators, 6 assemblers, and 4 other employees per shift. The shifts are 12-hour continental days (6 AM - 6 PM) and nights (6 PM - 6 AM) with a rotation of 5 days/nights on and 2 days/nights off. The work environment is collaborative and focused on maintaining safety and cleanliness. The dress code is casual and comfortable for a manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.50

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Brampton,ON.
