Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance requirements on various machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Locate sources of problems by observing devices in operation and using precision instruments.

• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices and using appropriate tools.

• Inspect used parts and determine changes in dimensional requirements.

• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools.

• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.

• Conserve maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies.

• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.

• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

• Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts and fabricate new parts.

• Maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery.

• Assist with planning and closing work orders in Maximo.

• Record parts and materials used, and order new parts as necessary.

MUST HAVES

• Red Seal 433A Millwright License

• 5+ years of Canadian Millwright experience in an industrial environment

• 1+ year of Lead Hand/Supervisor experience

• Experience with mechanical devices and pneumatic controls

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding and cutting

• Experience working at heights

Work Environment

You will join a team of 9-10 Millwrights, with a goal to expand to 14 across all shifts. Initial training will take place over 1-2 months on day shifts from 7am to 3:30pm. Following training, you will work a continental shift schedule (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am) that alternates between 48-hour weeks and 36-hour weeks, including both day and night shifts. The position offers opportunities for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $84364.80 - $84364.80/yr.
