Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

The avionics technician will perform maintenance on aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as airborne navigation and communication systems, autopilot systems, weather radar, transponder, pitot-static systems, compass systems, instruments, and accessories. Responsibilities include testing and troubleshooting instruments, components, and assemblies, using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters. The technician will also install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and/or soldering irons. Additional duties involve adjusting, repairing, or replacing malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools and/or soldering irons. The role encompasses troubleshooting, repair, testing, installation, and inspection of aircraft electronic equipment and systems, as well as the removal and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels. The technician will also fabricate and test avionics systems wiring harness, Pitot-Static/RVSM systems testing and repair, and fabricate parts and test aids as required. Maintaining repair station records and documents is also essential.

Hard Skills

  • Avionics installing exp

  • 3-5 years of experience

  • FCC license

Nice to have:

GA Experience (Cessna, Pipe, Beechcraft)

Garmin specifically

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Work Environment

1st shift: 8-4:30, Monday to Friday. Not many weekends and minimal overtime. Will be working in a hangar.
