Bradford Elementary School is seeking kitchen staff for the 2024-2025 school year (August 20, 2024). The hours for this position will be 8:00am-2:30pm.
Were seeking a reliable and independent self-starter who likes children. Our school nutrition program serves over 200 daily meals (breakfast and lunch) to 278 staff and children. This very busy and intense job fills out a 4 person team that includes a Food Service Director, Head Cook and Food Prep Support.

Job Purpose:\ To perform a variety of routine and skilled food preparation and service tasks for the school nutrition program.\ \ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\ - Clean and organize food service and dining areas.\ - Serve food to students.\ - Stock, clean and maintain food, equipment and beverage lines.\ - Stock and maintain inventory of condiments.\ - Set up components of the salad bar and prepare salads for the salad bar as assigned.\ - Assist with daily cleaning duties in the cafeteria including cleaning equipment and work areas, operating dishwasher and/or\ scrubbing pots and pans, cleaning up lines at end of meal shift, and putting away/disposing of leftovers.\ - Assist with routine food preparation tasks, such as cleaning and cutting up fruits and vegetables, making and wrapping\ sandwiches, preparing/cooking other food offerings and the like.\ - Comply with State Sanitation Guideline requirements stating that all employees shall keep clean and wear clean outer garments at\ all times while engaged in handling food, drink, utensils or equipment. The use of caps, hairnets, headbands, pins, or other hair\ restraints are required for all food handlers.\ - Other duties may be assigned by the Food Service Director.
