General Statement
Student Wellness Counseling and Psychological Services is pleased to announce an opening for a Senior Staff Psychologist/Training Specialist to serve our growing student body, oversee the master’s intern training program at CPS , and support the Training Director with the APA accredited doctoral internship in health service psychology. We are seeking a generalist to provide multiculturally attuned services to students, faculty, and staff of the university. CPS is located in the new Student Wellness Center, a state of the art 165,000 square foot facility, that brings together health and wellbeing services for students including Campus Recreation, Student Health Services, and Counseling and Psychological Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruit and retain master’s interns in counseling.
Provide group supervision for the intern cohort.
Ensure the master’s internship program meets the accreditation standards of the MSU counseling program.
Communicate and collaborate with faculty of the MSU counseling program.
Organize and provide administrative support for the master’s training program.
Support the Assistant Director for Training in managing the training needs of the agency and serve in the Training Director roll in their absence.
Provide multi-culturally sensitive psychotherapy, crisis intervention (including on-call). outreach and consultation to the campus community.
Provide supervision to doctoral interns in our APA accredited doctoral internship in psychology.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program and completion of an APA accredited internship.
Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Montana.
Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and training.
Clinical experience working with adults including crisis assessment and intervention.
Demonstrated skills in administration.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Experience in an administrative or coordinator role in a university counseling center.
Experience working in a university counseling center and/or demonstrated potential for the variety of tasks required.
Experience providing outreach and consultation services.
Experience working on an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
Experience providing clinical group supervision.

Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Have the ability to use computer programs (including an electronic health record) to complete job duties and assist in agency functioning.
Position Special Requirements/Additional Information
The position is full-time for 10 months (August – May). Summer (June and July) FTE is negotiable up to 0.5 FTE .
