Brief Position Overview

The Child Care Access Means Parents in School ( CCAMPIS ) Grant Coordinator will report directly to the PI and work as a collaborative member of the CCAMPIS Leadership team. The Grant Coordinator will manage the CCAMPIS grant application process as well as establish and maintain contracts and partnerships with participating childcare providers both on and off campus. The Grant Coordinator will administer and track annual incentive and monthly childcare tuition payments by working closely with MSU’s Office of Financial Aid and Fiscal Shared Services.

Position Details

General Statement

The Child Care Access Means Parents in School ( CCAMPIS ) Grant Coordinator will report directly to the PI and work as a collaborative member of the CCAMPIS Leadership team. The Grant Coordinator will manage the CCAMPIS grant application process as well as establish and maintain contracts and partnerships with participating childcare providers both on and off campus. The Grant Coordinator will administer and track annual incentive and monthly childcare tuition payments by working closely with MSU’s Office of Financial Aid and Fiscal Shared Services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and track CCAMPIS applications each semester

  • Confirm childcare tuition support eligibility and determine monthly payment amounts

  • Collect and submit monthly childcare invoices for MSU payment

  • Maintain confidential records of tuition billing and payment processing

  • Participate in monthly CCAMPIS leadership meetings

    Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree with experience in financial record keeping or equivalent education and experience.

  2. Demonstrated competence maintaining confidential records with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail.

  3. Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with a wide range of people in different departments or units within an organization.

  • Demonstrated competence using various software such as billing and invoicing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

  • Experience working for and/or with childcare programs.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other departments and staff across campus.

  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work effectively as a member of a team.

  • Demonstrate competence organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with and support student parents, childcare professionals, and other members of the CCAMPIS leadership team effectively and confidently.
