ProMedica Health System Operations Manager - Wood County School Consortium Clinics - Full Time in Bowling Green, Ohio

The Operations Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operational activities within the employer near-site clinics. Facilitates a team effort in the delivery of quality patient care by collaborating with the providers, dietician, exercise physiologist and clinical staff. Creates a team-like attitude and approach to business functions and management. Assumes the responsibility for the risk management of the near-site clinics

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage patient access to meet expected volume targets. Meet customer service goals through effective management of access points. In conjunction with operations and finance, develop departmental operating budget, assess needs for capital equipment and any other operational expenses. Monitor and maintain operational expenses according to established financial target. Supervise, direct and oversee responsibilities and duties of all near-site clinics’ staff to ensure optimal productivity, efficiency, cleanliness, safety and security. Ensure that staff understands and follows established policies and procedures. Implement, define and support policies and procedures with appropriate approvals. Prepare purchase orders and AP requests. Maintain supplies, inventory and ordering processes. Review and approve supply and service purchases as per protocol. Ensure the near-site clinics operate within all regulatory guidelines including OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, ODH and any other relevant state and federal agencies. In conjunction with CBO, provides oversight of patient and insurance processes for appropriate ICD-9, CPT coding, modifier use, timely data entry and other custom detailed billing requirements. Holds staff accountable for meeting appropriate goals. Ensure employee performance reflects job standards and implement corrective action plan based on work issues. Prepare staff performance reviews and hold staff accountable to performance and service standards according to contract. Manages, in conjunction with Business Development/Operations Director or designee, the client relationship and ensures all aspects of the related contractual agreement is carried out. Effective communication, including presentation of services available and performance of clinics, with client and members is expected. All other duties as assigned by the Business Development/Operations Director or designee.

Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel or similar software Strong communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct both clinical and clerical staff Strong organizational skills Able to balance needs of the providers, staff and the initiatives of the organization Demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to achieving customer satisfaction Experience working in a health care office

Preferred

Management experience in a health care office environment Bachelor’s degree in business administration or health-related field, or equivalent experience Strong knowledge base of physician billing office practices, including practice management computer system experience Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding regulations and requirements Basic knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA and OSHA medical office regulations Medical terminology proficiency
