Wood County Hospital Charge Nurse (RN) Falcon Health Center in Bowling Green, Ohio

Falcon Health Center, a subsidiary of Wood County Hospital, is now accepting applications for a Charge Nurse. The  Charge Nurse provides personal care and professional excellence with the systematic use of the nursing process in providing/directing care. In addition, the charge nurse works with the nurse manager to provide day to day clinical operation of Falcon Health and assists with management duties as directed by the nurse manager.

Job Duties:

  • Participates in patient care delivery either directly or indirectly. 

  • Uses professional knowledge to develop and revise nursing plans of care for patients according to department guidelines and criteria. 

  • Facilitates and coordinates daily assignments, through direction and delegation. 

  • Finds coverage for department if an employee calls off and/or will rotate scheduled to benefit the department and assist with shortages

  • Responsible for follow up of customer service issues.

  • Monitors and addresses availability, functionality, and safety of patient care equipment and notifies Nursing Supervisor or appropriate department when equipment or facility is in need of attention. 

  • Work with Nursing Supervisor to complete annual performance evaluations. 

Shift Details:

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Weekdays- 12:00pm-8:00p, Weekend rotation required

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:            

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program

Minimum Certification:        

  • Licensed RN in the state of Ohio.

Minimum Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience, preferred

  • Occupational medicine experience, preferred
