Fruit of the Loom Category Management Analyst in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Description/Job Summary Supports Category Management function by developing integral category POS reporting and analysis by utilizing retailer, internal and syndicated pos resources to prepare category, market, and retailer trend reports and analysis to make more informed category business decisions. Analyzes sales and inventory data, as well as market data to provide insight to key Sales, Marketing, and external Buying groups. Works with Sales and Marketing teams to provide category analysis and assortment productivity detail. Supports account planogram development, analysis, and sku rationalization to maximize assortment productivity. Responsibilities/Duties * Support Category Management function with Retail customers * Create sales reports from retailer pos portals and/or internal databases. Reports are utilized by Sales, Marketing, Senior Management, external Buying teams. * Utilize Space Management tools to evaluate sales to space productivity performance within categories and planogram sets. * Support Category Management team in market analysis and trends (category, consumer, retailer, brand) that provide insight into factors driving POS performance and opportunities for business growth * Create planograms for retail accounts, based upon analysis results and input from Sales/Marketing and Retailers. * Conduct retail store audits to evaluate distribution, product mix, pricing and shelf space allotment. * Evaluate product dimensions and impact upon shelf capacity and retail turns * Learn basic presentation skills, to eventually present findings to retailers Required Experience An entry-level position, though quantitative analysis/database experience preferred. Required Qualifications 4-year college degree or related experience, preferably in quantitative field. Analytical and problem definition skills. Retail experience and experience working with databases. Strong attention to detail. Skilled in Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Ability to learn space management software and category management process.
