Description/Job Summary Spalding, a division of Fruit of the Loom, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. & leading international basic apparel company, has an immediate opening for an Associate Product Marketing Manager - Systems and Accessories *at its corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, KY. The Associate Product Marketing Manager will have direct product responsibility for the basketball systems and accessories category within the Spalding brand. Responsibilities including product lifecycle management, channel strategy, pricing, and packaging of all product families in the product portfolio. This role also manages creation of marketing collateral, sales tools, POP material, and assists in developing and implementing short and long-term strategic direction of the business through partnerships, contracts, and events. This position also works closely with product development to analyze the current product landscape, explore new product concepts, and maintain current portfolio. *Responsibilities/Duties Marketing: Product packaging design and graphics, in-store collateral (POP), catalogs, sales tools, and presentations, print ads, logos. Analyze and make strategic decisions based on consumer research department findings on primary and secondary research. Adhere to brand standards in all communications channels (digital, social, print). Product: Product lifecycle management (PLM), channel strategy, competitive market analysis. Strategy: Create and implement short and long-term strategic direction for the business categories, including external partnerships, contractual arrangements, events, and grassroots initiatives. Business Support: Assist cross-functional team with business imperatives outside of the marketing department, including but not limited to Product Development, Distribution, Sourcing, Planning, Customer Service, Sales. P+L: Pricing and profitability analysis and collaborate for review with Manager, Pricing database maintenance, budgeting, price lists Relationships: Support corporate partnerships and relationships to help position brand favorably for future success, including but not limited to NBA, NCAA, State Adoptions, Team Dealers, and retail accounts (National, Big Box, Specialty). Required Experience * 2-4 years of Marketing or related experience (e.g. sales, consumer, or product research). Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, a related field, or equivalent years of related work experience. * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Superior attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills. * Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and interface with various levels of management. * Ability to work cross functionally to gain insights and input for strategic marketing plans to ensure plans are consistent with market dynamics.
