The Western Kentucky University Psychology Department (www.wku.edu/psychology/) is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology. This position will support the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Applied Psychology program. Desired applicants should hold an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.

Responsibilities for the position include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses (3 total courses per semester), conducting scholarly research and publishing, advising undergraduate and graduate students, guiding dissertation and thesis research as well as serving on dissertation and thesis committees, and possibly assisting with practicum and internship placements and supervision. Additional responsibilities include serving on program, department, college and university committees, and other duties as assigned.

In addition to the Psy.D. program, the Department of Psychology has an undergraduate major in psychology, a Master's program in clinical psychology, and a NASP-approved Specialist in Education program in school psychology. Job Requirements:

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology* by the August 2024 starting date. Candidates must be licensed or license-eligible and are expected to obtain licensure from the Kentucky Board of Psychology at the Health Service Provider level. Applicants must demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and to maintain an active program of scholarly research.
