Google Strategy and Operations Manager, Go-To-Market, gTech in Boulder, Colorado

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience at a management consulting firm or investment bank, or equivalent project management experience in a line role for a technology firm.

  • 2 years of management experience.

  • Experience leading operational and cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or PhD degree in a management, technical, or engineering field.

  • 12 years of work experience in consulting, software, Internet, and/or media industries or early stage companies.

  • 4 years of management experience, including experience working with senior stakeholders in strategic and/or business processes and change management situations.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to take ambiguous topics and create compelling narratives for different audiences.

The Go-To-Market organization provides strategic business insights, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps leadership identify and drive strategic programs and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations and help evolve early stage ideas into future.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager, you will focus on the most critical cross-gTech initiatives, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, provide business critical insights using analytics, and help teams across gTech drive strategic projects and new initiatives forward. You will be a catalyst for making gTech a competitive advantage for Google, and you will have the opportunity to shape how we influence Product teams to resolve top issues, how we drive efficiencies across a Global Operations team, how we move from customer satisfaction to exceptional customer care. Our team provides thought leadership to a cross-industry Leadership team, delivers business insights through a customer and industry focused view, and develops initiatives, plans, and metrics to operationalize the strategy.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

  • Serve as a thought partner and trusted advisor to the gTech organization’s executive leadership, helping to land the present and shape the future of gTech.

  • Manage the planning and execution of major global strategic initiatives across gTech.

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders and leaders to gather data and conduct business analyses with effective project communication and management.

  • Coach and develop a team of strategy and operations leads.

  • Identify and engage Google wide stakeholders proactively on initiatives (e.g., projects that cross Product, Sales, Marketing, and Policy).
