Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED. At least five (5)years' experience in shipping, receiving function. Experience in international shipping. Experience with FedEx preferred. Understanding and use of Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels. Excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills. Flexibility with the ability to shift priorities as needed Ability to work cross-functionally. Ability to train and provide assistance to other employees in the department. Computer literacy and working knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word and Excel. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department. Working Conditions: Encountered on a regular basis as part of the work this job performs.

Work may require exposure to weather conditions.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods during the day.

Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack and handcart to handle outgoing material.

Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach with hands or arms to handle outgoing material. BI Incorporated Responsibilities

Summary Responsible for the process, procedures and day-to-day operations of shipping to ensure all customer orders and returns are shipped in an accurate, timely and cost effective manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Packs and boxes outgoing customer orders and repaired equipment. Checks shipments to ensure they are accurate and complete. Updates database to reflect daily shipments and keeps accurate records of orders shipped. Tracks outgoing shipments as requested. Oversees all International shipments to ensure proper documentation and procedures have been followed. Ensures all Dangerous Goods shipments are properly labeled and have necessary documentation. Train all shipping employees as necessary on this process. Maintains adequate supply of internal and external shipping supplies. Ensures all shipping employees are trained and provides ongoing mentoring. Provides feedback to management regarding other shipping employees' performance. Sends and tracks all outgoing Federal Express shipments daily for personal packages. Contacts sender if information is incomplete or unable to send via FedEx. Where possible, reviews outgoing orders and shippers' rates to obtain most cost effective method of shipment. Communicates with Manufacturing and Inventory team to ensure that product is delivered to Shipping in time to meet carrier deadlines. Arranges for special requirements, including Next Flight Out, Counter to Counter, and Courier delivery/pick-up as required to assist with customer emergencies. Ensures shipping costs are charged to the appropriate department. Ensures shipping area is neat, clean and well organized. Assists receiving and inventory department with workload as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
