Join the MA Apprenticeship Program at Boulder Community Health and start a new career!
Starting rate as an apprentice will be $15/hr and will increase to $15.50/hr once you complete 50% of the competencies. Upon successful completion of the program, your rate will increase to $16.25/hr.
Kicking off in August-September 2021, the program includes one-on-one mentoring by experienced MAs and a guaranteed position with Boulder Community Health as a Medical Assistant.
As an apprentice, you will:
Earn and learn: all Apprentices will be full-time employees, guaranteed an MA position upon program completion while completing your certificate at Front Range Community College.
MA Certification: Within 15 weeks, the program prepares Apprentices to complete the exam and obtain their National Certification and complete your FRCC MA Certificate.
Medical assistants work alongside physicians, mainly in outpatient or ambulatory care facilities, such as medical offices and clinics. Medical assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties. Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) Primary Care Physician Clinics are guided by the philosophy of the Patient-Centered Medical Home. The medical home organizes care around patients, while engaging a multidisciplinary Care Team working proactively to coordinate and track care for each individual patient.
Applications are being accepted for the 2021 cohort. To be considered, you must submit an application between July 14-August 9th, 2021. Final selections of candidates will be completed by mid-August.
-Applicants must be able to commit to between 40-60 hours a week to allow for on-line courses and shadowing in the clinic.
-Applicants must have a HS Diploma or GED to be accepted into the apprenticeship program.
-Applicants must currently be a Front Range Community College student and completed the first semester of the MA Program.
-Applicants must be pre-screened and qualify for Workforce Apprenticeship wage support
