Boulder Community Hospital Interventional Radiology and Imaging RN in Boulder, Colorado
Half Time, Monday-Friday 0700-1730 - two days a week with On Call coverage for after hours, weekends and holidays. 20 hours/week. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Available! *not available for current BCH staff.
Pay Range is between $33.26-$49.89/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide quality, evidence-based practice, direct patient care in Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, US, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging departments. Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to manage patient care in a competent manner as outlined below. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality care in the procedural area to include administering medications and moderate sedation while monitoring patients pre, intra, and post procedure. Perform physical assessment of patients encompassing cardiac, vascular, respiratory, GI, GU, and neuro systems. Work with cutting edge technology on a multidisciplinary team. Performing pre-&-post procedure communication and providing patient education regarding procedures and aftercare.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)
Valid Colorado Registered Nurse license.
ACLS certification required by end of conditional period.
BLS required by end of conditional period.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Starts IV's and access and discontinue access of Ports.
Monitor patient conditions continuously for immediate recognition, interpretation and management.
Administer intravenous sedatives for procedural/moderate sedation and titrate medications.
Assist Anesthesia during MRI Sedation cases.
Monitor and assist pacemaker patients during MRI exams.
Monitor and assist patients during MRI/US Neuravive procedures.
Provide post procedural care and maintenance of arterial and/or venous hemostasis until patient is transferred to the next level of care.
Calibrate, adjust, maintain and operate equipment as necessary to ensure the safe, accurate administration of tests and procedures. Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions.
Responsible for covering after hours on call shifts as necessary, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to meet Restricted On-Call response time as defined by the hospital (30 min response).
Responsible for communicating schedule and flow updates with supervisor and team.
