We are 100% committed to serving our customers with high quality, strict confidentiality standards, and improved business efficiency.Responsible for performing all activities associated with growing and screening of transformed cells and setting up PCR.Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities:* Screen transformed cell cultures for successful growth. Pick colonies for further processing.* Prepare plasmids for sequencing and quantify DNA by O.D.* Prepare glycerol stocks. Archive successful cultures.* Setting up PCR using established protocols.* Prepare growth media and all other required reagents.* Labware cleaning and autoclaving.* Work within a multi-disciplinary team, meet goals for accuracy, production deadlines and throughput utilizing the company's proprietary gene-synthesis platform and related tools.* Perform production protocols according to established company operating procedures and assist with general production support as needed.Qualifications* The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses outstanding organizational skills, able to work independently and perform as an effective team member.* Familiarity with sterile technique, preparation of culture media, and the operation of complex laboratory equipment are highly desirable.* Experience utilizing and manipulating data via databases is preferred.* Good computer skills, precise attention to detail, record keeping, and adherence to protocols is required.* The position will require weekend work (Tuesday to Saturday: 8:00am to 5:00pm).Additional Information* Excellent full time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision options* Life and disability insurance* 401(k) with company match* Paid vacation and holidaysEurofins is aM/F, Disabled, and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
