About the role The Copywriter is responsible for developing and writing short and long form B2B and B2C marketing and technical content in both print and digital media. This is not a remote position. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Responsibilities Write clear and concise copy for web, catalogs, brochures, advertisements, public relations, technical articles, and other marketing collateral to support the business unit’s marketing strategy Proofread and edit content for accuracy and consistency across Leviton platforms Work closely with marketing managers, directors, product managers, sales and other sources that may contribute input or provide information for the development of copy Participate in brainstorming with other project team members to develop creative approaches and concepts for assigned projects Work closely with graphic artists as content is developed into layout and final execution Interview contacts and write articles to be published in industry related publications Stay informed of industry trends and company developments Write and coordinate distribution of press releases Research printed and electronic resources as needed to complete writing assignments Qualifications Must be creative, resourceful, self-motivated, able to think independently, and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously Must develop and propose creative solutions to assigned tasks Ability to write clear and concise copy in appropriate voice for various audiences Ability to analyze and interpret data to determine appropriate syntax, style, and grammatical usage required for a particular project Excellent verbal communication and ability to produce written material based on that communication Familiar with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Excel Understand basic copy fitting, art, photo manipulation, and printing requirements Adobe Creative Suite software, Video production, script development and photography basics a plus Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, Marketing, Journalism or similar required Minimum 2 years' professional copywriting experience, preferably with an advertising agency or public relations agency What We Offer To meet the health and wellness needs of our employees, Leviton offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical (with an HSA option), Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date 401(k) Program with employer matching contributions.
