Accountant (Bothell, WA)

The position holder will be mainly responsible for maintaining precise and up-to-date financial records, encompassing ledgers, journals, and financial statements; preparing and analyzing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements; articulating financial results to management and stakeholders; assisting in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts; monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures and providing explanations for variances; monitoring and managing customer accounts receivable, sending invoices, and following up on outstanding payments; performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure that company records match actual bank transactions; ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations; preparing and submitting various tax filings, such as income tax returns, sales tax returns, and payroll tax reports; conducting financial analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing recommendations; providing recommendations for cost reduction or revenue enhancement; ensuring compliance with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and company policies; reviewing and approving employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper documentation; establishing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting; staying updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations; assisting in audits, managing cash flow, and collaborating with other departments to provide financial data and support; and participating in special financial projects and analysis as requested by management.
