This is an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced and diverse Team of property managers and maintenance staff in a vibrant community. We are looking for a strong leader experienced in providing learning opportunities and developing their staff. Our focus is on the residents we serve and the Team that supports the work we do.
This community consists of over 600 apartments of family and senior housing in the South End.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing supervision, technical support, and training to the Superintendents and Maintenance Technicians.
Assessing, developing, and implementing site policies and procedures for effective delivery of the maintenance services.
Overseeing compliance for all mechanical functions with the city, state and/or federally required certifications.
Overseeing work of all outside vendors and contractors and maintaining service contracts for all work.
Developing and implementing capital improvement programs, drafting specifications, bids, and requests for proposals with the Senior Facilities team, Property Managers, and Regional Manager.
Collaborating with Property Managers and ownership to provide updates and insight on the status of the properties and any ongoing projects.
Managing the work order system, maintaining inventory, and ordering supplies.
The Facilities Manager will require strong communication skills and the ability to work together with the maintenance and office teams to ensure the best possible service to our residents.
Experience with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, building and maintenance systems, and preventative maintenance programs is required.
5 or more years of multi-site maintenance management is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook (experience with Yardi is a plus).
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
