Nike Sr. Product Engineer, Footwear in Boston, Massachusetts

What you bring

  • Minimum 7+ years combined footwear manufacturing experience

  • Proven extensive Manufacturing and Management Experience

  • Understanding of Asia development, commercialization, and production environment, personnel, and organization

  • Knowledge and understanding of key software – ProCam, Rhino, Cad

  • Engineering or Technical Degree or equivalent/related work experience related field

What you will work on

As our Sr. Product Engineer, you will be responsible for key accountabilities!

  • Set and follow through technical strategic direction for category teams

  • Establish and drive Category and Engineering standard methodologies

  • Trouble-shoot issues in development, production and/or as raised by wear testing, PI, etc.

  • Work efficiently with Innovation and liaison with triads, PCC’s, Factories, PMO to bring those concepts to life

  • Participate in sourcing discussions including providing technical assessment of factories

  • Lead high-profile cross category initiatives

  • Lead and drive costing and innovation excellence

  • Use category, functional, and technical knowledge to influence the product and process for developing and manufacturing footwear.

  • Support category and functional innovation agendas

  • Identify and resolve manufacturing and quality issues

  • Provide assistance and advice on category sourcing profiles and strategies

  • Provide technical training and consultation

  • Actively support vision and formulate strategies in order to execute the vision

  • Assess and guide on PCC and manufacturing and personnel capabilities

  • Partner with category leadership on strategic sourcing decisions

  • Lead engineering digital product creation strategy by implementing tools and driving category projects

  • Define preventive product excellent strategy for all key models

  • Ensure computational design projects are executed by directing the team.
